**FLASH TRAFFIC**

F-14 Down in Nashville Residential Neighborhood; 5 Dead

ENN is receiving multiple reports of an F-14 Crash near Luna Ave. and Jensen Drive, located approximately 1/2 mile south of the Nashville International Airport. At least three houses are reportedly fully involved in fire and others may be damaged. A second alarm assignment was immediately requested at the scene.

Sources close to the Nashville Fire Dept. say that the pilot and one crewman from the aircraft are believed dead, along with three (3) people on the ground. Other injuries are unknown at this time. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the jet is a Navy F-14 Tomcat, which was totally destroyed in the impact. the aircraft was believed to be on a training mission and taking off from a National Guard field near Nashville International. ENN is gathering additional details and will provide an additional report as more becomes available.
