Shopping Area in Tel Aviv Struck by Terror Bomb

By Clark Staten, CT Analyst

(ENN) Numerous reports are coming in regarding another bombing in Israel, this time, in a shopping area in downtown Tel Aviv. the location given for the site is in the intersection of King George St. and Dizengoff St.. Unconfirmed reports indicate that a pedestrian suicide bomber was responsible. Early reports say that at least twelve (12) people are believed dead and as many as 100 others injured. Several of the wounded are described as children. According to EMS sources, sixty-eight (68) people are reported to have been transported to Ichilov hospital, six (6) others taken to Tel Hashomer hospital, nine (9) people to Wolfson Hospital, and six (6) to HaSharon Hospital.

Within the past thirty minutes, normally reliable sources tell ENN that there was a telephone call to authorities indicating that there were "other bombs waiting thoughout the country". Police sources could not authenticate the validity of this additional threat. Bomb squad officers were seen scouring the intersection where today's blast occurred. Today's blast was probably composed of plastique explosive, based on the intensity and destruction of the detonation.

No claim of responsibility has been issued as of yet, but ERRI experts expect the El Kassim Brigade or some other Islamic extremist group to claim responsibility soon. Yesterday, in interviews with both WGN-TV and WBBM-TV in Chicago, ERRI accurately predicted the danger of additional imminent terrorist events. ENN is in contact with our affiliate, the SNS News Service in Israel and will provide updates as more becomes available.
