ENN Announces Specialization of Daily Reports
By Paul Anderson, ENN Metro Correspondent

CHICAGO (ENN) - Clark Staten, publisher of the the EmergencyNet News Service, today announced that effective immediately, the ENN Daily Report will be divided into two separate news divisions; "The ENN Daily Intelligence Report" and the "ENN Daily Emergency Services Report." Staten said the change was being made in response to the reader comments and as a result of a user satisfaction survey conducted earlier this year. Staten said it is believed that the reorganization will give ENN better focus and expand ENN's coverage of events of specific interest to its readers.

On January 1st, Mr. Jim Fay, who currently serves as ENN Bureau Chief in the New York/New Jersey area, will receive a promotion and will now assume Associate Editor duties, with primary responsibility for our Fire/Police/EMS and Disaster coverage (Emergency Service Report). Mr. Steve Macko will continue as Managing Editor of all publications, but will devote a majority of his time to reporting on Military/ Intelligence/National Security issues. He will provide able leadership for the Intelligence Report. Additional reporters will be added as needed to assist in both divisions.

According to Mr. Macko, current e-mail subscriptions to the ENN Daily Report will be honored until their annual expiration, and until then, all current subscribers may receive either or both daily reports, as they so desire. At renewal time, however, subscribers will be asked to pick one daily report or the other, at the same $100.00 per year fixed price. Renewal subscribers will also be offered a special conversion rate of $150.00 per year for both reports. New subscribers wishing to receive both (Emergency Service and Intelligence) e-mail reports will be charged $200.00, or either individual report can be received for the standard $100.00 per year.

Macko also said that ENN will provide a continuous, 24 hour a day, "breaking news" e-mail service which will includes immediate dispatch of stories from both the emergency service and intelligence reports, as well as updates of developing or continuing stories. Macko said that this "Instant Update" combination service will be priced at $250.00 per year. Effective January 15th, 1997, daily subscribers will not be receiving "Instant Updates", unless they upgrade their subscriptions to that level.

Staten said that all of the new changes are being made in order to better meet the needs of ENN readers and to provide only those services that subscribers desire. He said that ENN always welcomes comments, questions, or other requests for clarification regarding the services that it provides.
