Four Dead In Englewood Crash

In Englewood, Colorado at 2100 MST on Thursday night a single car rolled over and caught on fire at Northbound South Platte River Drive at Dartmouth just upon entering the Denver city limits has left 4 dead and 1 critical.

Upon arrival of the first units, the car was fully involved in fire with 2 occupants still trapped and 3 already ejected. Both occupants inside the car were DOA from massive trauma, burns and smoke. One of the patients that was ejected was transported to Swedish Medical Center with burns and massive trauma. He remains in critical condition this morning. Both other patients that were ejected were pronounced DOA on-scene. The investigation continues into the cause, but high speed and alcohol are suspected.

Another accident on Thursday in Denver has left a 2 month-old baby in critical condition at Denver General Hospital with a fractured skull. The child was in a rear facing child seat in the front passenger seat of a minivan. Upon impact, the passenger side air bag pushed the otherwise properly restrained child into the back of the passenger seat. Please be careful with passenger side air bags and infant restraints!
