Iowa City Police Investigate [Multiple] Shooting
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa City police are investigating a shooting early
Monday morning. Police confirm they were called to a residential part of
town Monday morning on a report of a shooting involving a family living
on Barrington Road, which is in the far eastern part of the city.
Authorities are telling KCCI-TV that several family members were shot. Police are not yet commenting on their conditions or injuries.
Few other details are being reported yet in the case.
The University of Iowa has issued a campus alert to students and parents by text message and by e-mail saying there is "an active shooter" is in the Iowa City area, white male in his mid-40s, tan Toyota Sienna minivan with license plate 501 BLO. Call 911 if seen...
