Iran: A 'duty' for Muslims to attack the West, says editor
Tehran, IRAN: Hossein Shariatmadari, managing editor of 'Kayhan' (Universe) one of Iran's most influential newspapers, has issued a strongly worded editorial inviting Muslims to topple moderate Islamic governments and attack US, European and Israeli interests.
In the editorial, entitled "The enemy's shield", Shariatmadari argues that in Shia or Sunni Islam "It is legal to strike those who protect the enemy" .
The real enemies, says Shariatmadari are "The barbaric Zionists, the ferocious Americans and their European allies".
"Because of this, we must remove those Islamic regimes that stop Muslims attacking their enemies; that is not only legal, but a duty..."

ERRI/EmergencyNet News analyst note: For those who believe that
the radical Islamist threat is "overblown," or that websites like this
one are being "alarmist," we would suggest that they read the last two
entries (and inherent links) posted here. The threat of Jihadist
terrorist attack has not diminished and our assessment would suggest
that there may be an increasing threat of attack in the future. Internet
chatter about potential attacks has escalated and very specific threat
messages have been dispatched from both Sunni and Shi'ite Jihadist
sources in the past few days. While it is difficult to ascertain the
validity of these threats without more information, our analysts say
that greater awareness and precaution, but not panic, is warranted at
this time...particularly in Europe. Watch EmergencyNet News for more on
what may be an emerging threat trend...
