At least two teachers and two children shot in E. Cleveland

Shooting Alert: School Violence in Ohio CLEVELAND, OHIO: Although exact details are still unclear, preliminary reports suggest that at least four people have been shot at a school named SuccessTech Academy. Another person was also believed injured during the incident.

Witnesses said that the shooter used two handguns during the rampage and that he was seen walking down a hall and firing in a random manner.

Mayor Frank Jackson said three young people and two adults were hurt. SuccessTech Academy had now been secured and there was only one suspect, he said. According to Mayor Jackson, that suspected perpetrator is in custody.

Other unconfirmed reports suggest that the shooter was killed, though officials have not confirmed that account. Another unconfirmed story says that the perpetrator in today's incident is a 14-year-old boy, who had been suspended recently from the school.

A spokesman for MetroHealth Medical Center said that three victims had been transported to its trauma center, though the condition and identification of the patients was not available at the time of this transmission. No motive is presently known for the assault on the campus.

SuccessTech Academy is a downtown alternative high school in the Cleveland city school district.
