Company History
The EMERGENCY RESPONSE & RESEARCH INSTITUTE (ERRI),
of Chicago, IL, was founded to provide uncomplicated solutions to complex and
demanding problems. Late in 1990, ERRI began to undertake a vastly different
approach to providing news, information, research and communications services to
the emergency response and government community. The EMERGENCY Bulletin Board
System (BBS) went on-line on January 15, 1991 with a computer database retrieval
service.
The system was originally a direct result of a nation-wide survey conducted
among Emergency Medical Service (EMS) managers, who overwhelmingly expressed
support for the idea. Within six months, due to popular demand, it was expanded
to include fire, police, and disaster services. Soon it was also evident that we
should include terrorism, medical, military, rescue, crisis management and other
related topics. Over the years, several other related professions and subjects
have been added.
Since our humble beginnings, the both the content and the capabilities of the
system have continually been upgraded, to provide one of the nation's most
comprehensive database and reference systems, designed to serve the emergency
and government community. In 1995, this website was instituted, with the intent
of providing a user-friendly interface that would better enable emergency,
military, and intelligence personnel to access the information that is important
to their work.
The Emergency Response & Research Institute is a privately-held Sub-Chapter-S
corporation, chartered in the State of Illinois. This website is being provided
at no-charge, as a public service, as an adjunct to our other for-profit
activities. Our efforts are supported by sales of our news products, consulting,
webpage advertisement and computer services, and the provision of
educational/evaluation programs. Please access our ERRI goods and services by

Terrorism, OSINT and Crisis Management
The Emergency Response & Research Institute (ERRI) and its advisory board are
well known for their extensive studies and abilities in Anti-Terrorism,
Counter-Terrorism, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering and analysis, and
Crisis Management skills. This expertise is the result of a more than 15 year
on-going study by ERRI of terrorism, crisis, and conflict management issues.
Additionally, our advisory board collectively provides hundreds of years of
experience and perspective to our analysis'.
ERRI is believed to have one of the largest privately-held databases on
terrorist personnel, terrorism methods, terrorist incidents, and the
implications thereof. Our databases are updated on a daily basis by computer and
human collection methods and are constantly analyzed by an ERRI "expert system"
threat assessment program.
